I was so blown away when I received my first royalty cheque from Faithless that I spent the whole lot on the first Happening album which we recorded in what was then Dave Stewart’s Church Studios in London, as a kind of thank you to the Gods and Goddesses of music for allowing me to make a living from music. Some of the diverse musicians included Levon Minassien (Duduk player from Peter Gabriel’s ‘The Passion’ album), Mike Rowe (Oasis), Maxi (Faithless), Rollo, LIam O’Maonlai (The Hothouse Flowers), Kelly (Sneaker Pimps), DJ Swamp (Beck’s scratch DJ), and many others.
